At Sunshower Weddings, we are passionate about making each and every couple’s Big Island wedding day dreams come true. We were beyond thrilled to be asked to plan the Kona wedding of Ashley and Brent. Working with these two amazing individuals was a pleasure, as they trusted us to make their special day perfect! From the romantic white and light pink tropical flowers, to the Aloha marquee letters from Hawaii Island Events that served as an incredible backdrop for their dances – we made sure no detail went overlooked. Read on to find out more about how we turned this Kona Wedding into one they’ll never forget!

Their wedding ceremony was held at the beautiful St. Michael the Archangel church, with a stunning reception held at the Club at Hokulia. For added fun, we set up a selfie station with props from our decor rental items! They also had wonderful entertainment – Hawaiian musician Ponchoman played during the cocktail hour, and after dinner, their DJ from Hawaii Sound and Vision kept the dance floor full!

And of course, no Kona wedding would be complete without a special guest – Ashley and Brent’s beloved golden retriever Dierks! Sadly, in Hawaii, it is extremely hard to bring dogs to your wedding. But in honor of their furry friend, they named their signature drink “The Dierks,” and we placed a figurine of him on the wedding cake!
