For our type-A couples who love to plan and just want a little guidance along the way, 10-15 planning hours are usually perfect. 

Our average couple uses 25-35 planning hours from the very first call up until the day of their wedding. And while there technically is not a ceiling for how many planning hours you can book us for, the most a couple has ever used for a one-day event is 60 hours.

With hourly event planning, you can book us for exactly the services you need help with. Based on what you’re looking for, we’ll provide you with an estimated number of planning hours that we predict you’ll need. And the sweetest part of the deal? You can start with a little—or a lot—but you’re never locked into the amount you choose. You can always add more planning hours as we go, or if we don’t quite use them all by the end of our time together, you’ll get refunded the remaining balance.

Our beautiful rental library features an eclectic mix of items we’ve accumulated over the years. We have everything from place settings, to vases, to candle holders, and so much more. Our rentals are available for any event—even for clients not using our planning services—but they will be reserved for exclusive use by our planning clients first.

THE SUNSHOWER RENTAL LIBRARY

Your general event staff will handle any task that needs doing as requested by your Sunshower planner. They’ll decorate, serve, bus tables, wash dishes, repurpose flowers, light candles, and even finish DIY projects … pretty much anything you need. Staff needs are determined together depending on your guest count, the scope of your event, and the services required.

We’ll get to work by first sending over your personalized planning portal. Think of this portal as your mission control center for all things wedding! Depending on your unique needs and the number of planning hours we are trying to stay within, we’ll work together to secure vendors, plan logistics, and bring your vision to life on the beautiful Big Island of Hawaii.

How far in advance can I book my wedding? 

We book weddings up to 2 years in advance. If you’d like to lock in our current pricing and secure your wedding date with our team, we’d highly recommend booking ASAP. However, it’s never too late to work with us if we have your date available. (Fun fact: the fastest we’ve ever planned a full wedding was in two weeks!)

We’re ready to receive our custom planning proposal! What should we do next? 

Share your completed proposal questionnaire and we will write you a custom proposal for the services that we think you’ll need based on your questionnaire. You will review that proposal on a call with your planner and she can answer all of your questions about next steps. You will receive your proposal within 48 hours of sending it in, but usually faster.

What planning services do you offer? Design? Budgeting? 

There isn’t a planning service that we don’t offer - our team does it all. Budgeting is our bread and butter - the more detailed the spreadsheet, the more we love it. Design is usually approached as a collaboration between the planner and the couple, but we are happy to take on as much of the design as you’d like. It is usually the most fun part of wedding planning (other than the cake tasting).

In addition, to handling as many of the usual planning tasks for you as you’d like, we also run errands, accept packages, finish DIY projects, steam linens, create stationary designs and more. All of those things will be billed as planning hours though - so for most clients, in order to be mindful of their budgets, they choose to use our time on the services that will give them the most peace of mind and help take the most of of their plates.
