We are so happy to have been a part of Jo and Kevin's big day! Kona Beach Houses provided the perfect setting for their special ceremony, with breathtaking ocean views! The couple opted for an intimate gathering with only their closest family and friends present.

As Kona wedding planners, we made sure to pay special attention to the details that made their day so unique and memorable.

Jo's mom had crafted a thousand origami cranes, as is Japanese Tradition, to symbolize her love and dedication to the couple, which were then strung up around the Zen Cottage lanai. There were also many touching details included around their venue - such as a photo and boutonniere for Kevin's late father that was prominently displayed - that made it so meaningful. Everything about this wedding showed how much thought went into its planning - from Jo’s brother-in-law officiating to their friend Weston providing guitar accompaniment for their first dance, down to pictures of their pup Winston on the cocktail napkins - every bit was personalized to represent both Jo & Kevin’s unique love story perfectly.

During cocktail hour, our team flipped the peninsula from the ceremony which served as a gorgeous backdrop for their long dinner table decked with string lights overlooking the ocean.

The food served at Jo and Kevin's event was catered by Sara of Green Living Chef and it was a big hit! As evening descended upon us, Jo and Kevin shared their first dance accompanied by their friend Weston playing his guitar next to the ocean at sunset. The la’e was illuminated with string lights above, creating a stunning backdrop for everyone to come together around one big family-style dinner table while they enjoyed some amazing Hawaiian food with waves crashing in the background.

We were honored to plan Jo and Kevin's special day, and we wish them all the love as they embark on this new journey together! Their beautiful union will remain in all of our hearts - a huge congratulations once again to Jo and Kevin for beginning an incredible chapter in your lives!
