If youβre like most couples, your wedding will be one of the most important and memorable days of your life. And your wedding planner and coordinator will be the people by your side for the entire planning process and on your wedding day. You should hire people for those roles who are not only qualified and organized but who also share in your values.
We are (mostly) non-native residents of Hawai'i on native land and our approach to wedding planning includes uplifting Hawaiian and other historically marginalized business owners - especially wedding vendors! We are feminists who strive to be intersectional. We are on anti-racist journeys and we are LGBTQIA+ allies.
We strive for inclusivity and accessibility in our services, our hiring, and the events we plan. We believe in science - which means we are all vaccinated. Our approach to sustainable events is based in the knowledge that climate change is the greatest threat to our planet. And of course, we are romantics who love love and weddings!

Rain! (TBH I think that is every wedding planner's least favorite thing). But also, patriarchal wedding traditions that treat women like property.

Just being a part of the coupleβs very special day and experiencing the excitement and beauty of the ceremony. And I love the flowers!! Itβs really fun to beautify the space and make everything sparkle with flowers & candles.
Least favorite things at weddings:
Excess waste - especially helium balloons that can fly away and end up in the ocean. And, of course, RAIN!

Least favorite things at weddings:
Guests who stand in the back of ceremonies instead of taking a seat. The photos donβt look as seamless. And wedding party members who drink too much before the ceremony.

When I am a guest, I love to see the flowers, and the special touches the couples chose for their wedding. Having been a bride so recently myself, it is really fun to see all of the details come together! As a planner, my favorite things are out of the box touches - like event llamas or a bonfire.
Least favorite things at weddings:
Long and numerous speeches! And not enough food - I always love a snack!

We have a deep bench of wonderful event staff! Our staff will do it all: serve food, decor setup, cleanup and bussing, gopher, dishwashing, basic bartending, trash and recycling hauling, and more!

Kate had every detail organized and was flexible with any last-minute changes and truly made the entire day go by so efficiently.
