We had the honor of planning and coordinating Megan and Jill's wedding on the beach of the beautiful Kona Salt Farm! Megan and Jill's wedding was truly one of a kind – and we cannot wait to show it to you!

The ceremony was held right on the water, toes in the sand, and had so many special elements, including Jamie (Megan’s step-daughter) officiating. Megan and Jill's children – daughter Lilah, and sons Reuben and Jude – also metaphorically blended their families by blending sea salt from the farm. This was followed by Lilah doing a ring blessing, before Jill and Megan exchanged rings and became wife and wife. Their ceremony concluded with a bubbles recessional and the whole group raising their glasses in a champagne toast.

Afterwards, the guests enjoyed a cocktail hour with music by Kristin Lagasse and games such as Connect Four and Corn Hole. What made this cocktail hour extra special was that we were lucky enough to have multiple whale sightings! December is whale season in Kona but seeing whales so close to the shore is still extremely special!

For dinner, they had a delicious farm-to-table gluten-free and dairy-free menu from Heartbeet Catering that included tons of fresh island ingredients. To top off the dinner, guests enjoyed a beautiful and delicious gluten-free dairy-free cake from Marty’s Cakes.

While the adults had their luxurious dinner under the stars, the kids watched a special outdoor screening of Moana with a teepee set up on the beach by 808 Picnics complete with movie snacks and drinks.

We at Sunshower Weddings feel so honored to have had the opportunity of planning Megan and Jill's wedding in Kona and seeing it all come together! Congratulations again to Megan and Jill for having such a beautiful, special day! We wish them all the best as they embark on this new adventure together.

Dawn Eicher was their photographer, and as you can see, her photos are not only unbelievably beautiful, they perfectly depict the love and affection between Megan and Jill and everyone in their friends and family. And Paul’s video is so fun! He asked all of the kids what they think love is - and as you can imagine there are a big mix of heartfelt and funny answers. More than most weddings, you really get to know Megan and Jill, and their family, when you look at their photos and watch their video. You will fall in love with all of them just like we did! Thank you Dawn and Paul for sharing this one-of-a-kind work with us!
